Historically a symbol of modernist design, the Pavilion now serves as a dynamic platform for artistic and architectural interventions. Six diverse groups of creators will engage with the space, blending global narratives with local experiences to challenge the Pavilion's perceived perfection. Themes such as maintenance, care, and refuge will be explored, emphasizing the evolving role of architecture in contemporary life.
This intervention is part of the New Cross-National Temporality Project (NCNTP), a Europe-wide initiative running from June 2022 to May 2025. The project unites organizations from Albania, Georgia, Germany, Montenegro, Portugal, Ukraine, and Spain, promoting knowledge exchange among architects, artists, and researchers.
By combining artistic expression with architectural discourse, Pavilion Cross-Occupancies invites visitors to reflect on the balance between timeless design and human experience.
APSS Institute will present the project At The Beach as part of the Pavilion Cross-Occupancies exhibition.
